Lightning at the Grand Canyonby ~Rhavethstine

Taken after the sun set, this completed the evening that my previous two submissions were shot on:
- Canyon Sunset
- Rainbow Over Desert View

The day was stunning, to say the least.

I have several other shots near this location, but this was one of the more elaborate bolts. If you guys like this stuff, I may have one more to show.

To prevent blurring the thunderstorms clouds I use a lightning detector to control my schutter in combination with shorter exposure. Then you are able to choose exposure properly for to the lightning brightness ...
